Tong Wu’s jewellery practice explores the quiet tension between structure and light. Working with silver, gold, synthetic sapphire, Paraiba-toned stones and other precisely cut gems, Tong creates pieces that sit between minimalism and industrial design. Clean lines, repeated geometric forms and engineered settings give the work a restrained architectural presence, while the gemstones introduce depth, colour and movement.

Jewellery tools

Rather than using stones as decoration alone, Tong treats them as structural elements. Each gem is carefully integrated into the metal, sometimes appearing suspended, inserted, framed or partially concealed. This approach allows the jewellery to reveal itself through small shifts of angle and light, turning precision into intimacy.
